Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

midi.And I love you so.

(Rebel Rouser) James son of Josh

We can not stop the hands of time,
Nor live again the past.
But James, you are engraved in my heart
and will be remembered as long as time will last.
James, son of Josh and Katina.
Sadly, the end of an era.
Kevin.

One more star in the sky....

COBY

I live among God's creatures now in heavens of your mind,
So do not grieve for me, my friend as I am with my kind.

My collar is a rainbow's hue, my leash a shooting star,
My boundaries are the Milky way where I sparkle from afar.

At night I sleep in an angel's arms, her wings protecting me,
and moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee.

So when your life on earth is spent and you reach heaven's gate,
Have no fear of loneliness for here, you know I wait.

There's one more star in the sky......   My Coby.....

My grand matriarch now at peace
The time has come to say goodbye,
 for every road must end,
but you'll always be here in my heart,
my very special friend.

And when it's time for me to go,
and my long journey ends,
I'll never be alone, you'll see,
I'll be with my absent friend...
My precious Kat......

THE ADVENTURES OF SALLY
A TRIBUTE TO SALLY

She was my founder.
When I first met her she threw her backside into my face, and continued this practice for quite a long time.
thus her mille name was born, "Moon"
My Sally Moon.
She gave me absolutely everything that I have now.
Her wonderful litters supplied me with the "kennels and runs" and her Holiday Home for The Petite Pooch "Sallyville" gave me a good reputation with Rangers and SPCA. in Auckland.
I had a dream, and Sally fulfilled that dream for me..
Yes Sally was a show dog: 25 shows and 8 c.c.'s... then retired.. she learned tricks instead... became a famous writer of her adventures followed by "The Further Adventures of Sally," and is still being published on the web in the USA.
She wooed and won the hearts of Toto (CH Comerl Masta Toto (Imp Aust) and Astrix (CH Buster Benny of Burdekin.)... and now has gone to join them beyond the Rainbow Bridge...

Oh, Sally, I know you don't feel well... you are sitting up and panting, and then lying down and sleeping... you are not eating, and drinking little... I carried you outside and you stood there, I tried to move you and you fell over...
To the vet we went: I was sure I would euthanase you today. The vet talked me out of it, and dosed you up with antibiotic, pain relief and other pills and potions... I bought you home and made the decision that I would not take you back to the vet... (No offence to the vet meant here)
This was Monday.
I phoned work to take Tuesday off as I was sure I would lose you tonight. Tuesday, you ate, drank and walked around... I took you out in the van and left you there whilst the paws and I did our walkie... you were asleep when we returned.
Wednesday, you were weaker again, and I carried you in and out for drinks and calls of nature, and you slept in my arms... sitting up and panting and lying down sleeping... I kissed your nose and cuddled you.
Thursday, your appetite was not as good, although you still enjoyed (meow) food, chicken and warm milk. I carried you in and out again, nearly every 2 hours or so overnight, kissed and cuddled you and you slept a lot...

Friday night: Midnight, the bell connected to my farm gate rang.
It rings in my lounge. I sat up in fright. No-one was there.
At 0030, it rang again, and again at 0100. I couldn't understand why this was happening and disconnected it.
It was like you knew I had a day off on Saturday: You panted a lot more, and slept a lot less... At 0130 you sat up, panted, yelled OwwwNoooo, and the breath left your body as I held you in my arms.
I felt the air move from your lungs to your paws, and you were no longer with me.... Samantha was on the bed with us, and she licked your mouth and nose as if to revive you.

I laid you into your bed at the side of my bed, and covered your little body with your blanket.
Jeza, Boots and Suzie got into bed with you and curled around you, and stayed with you all night...
I now know who rang the bell: It was the grim reaper calling for you...
I prepared your resting place the next morning, under my bedroom window.
All the paws gathered round, and watched me wrap you and kiss you, and lay you to rest..
When the soil fell upon you, thy looked at me, like they understood, and then walked away...
We are family, we always have been, and we have lost our mentor...
People often asked me who was the boss around here... I always answered.. "It should be me, but it's Sally... Don't tell anyone!"

In dedication to the pride of my alley...
Walk in my shadow, stay by my side...
Loved and missed so much...
Andy and all the Paws at Shandrys.
